Taylor Herrin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who provides services in individual, couples, family, and group therapy. He enjoys working with teenagers as they face the difficulties that come with adolescence. Very easy to talk to, Taylor uses a strengths-based approach to therapy, with a focus on helping people recognize their individual value and what makes them great, as well as how to create meaningful connection in family relationships. Taylor implements Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy in helping couples achieve a deeper, more meaningful connection, and he will not give up on your relationship. He works to keep up on the latest research, injecting cutting-edge information into counseling sessions and presentations. He implements neuropsychological strategies in therapy to help clients learn to strengthen the mind and brain.

Having worked as an investigator of sexual abuse cases for the State of Utah, Taylor is experienced with helping families overcome the trauma associated with abuse and has unfortunately dealt with this firsthand. He has received training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. He works with adults, children, and adolescents, helping them cope with traumatic experiences that have impacted their lives. Taylor has been a member of the Weber County Domestic Violence Coalition and has organized programs for domestic violence treatment. He has also served as an instructor for state-mandated Divorce Orientation and Education courses.

Taylor enjoys speaking to local groups, congregations, and gatherings about family, marriage, parenting (particularly teens), depression, anxiety, and general stress/mental health issues. Born and raised in Utah, Taylor has been practicing in Riverdale for over a decade. He and his wife, Jackie, recently made their home in Farr West. They have four children who consistently keep them on their toes. The family includes a big fat orange cat and a nondescript cat. Taylor enjoys his work greatly and loves to meet and help new people.
