Colby Pomeroy LMFT

colby

Colby is passionate about life and about helping others to discover that same passion. He recognizes that we all go through life experiences that shape and form us to who we are today. Through those experiences we can become stuck, discouraged, overwhelmed, feeling helpless and hopeless. This can keep us from being able to maximize our happiness and joy. Colby uses a combination of therapy modalities to help understand why we are the way we are, come to accept who we are, and then challenge ourselves to become our best self through intrapersonal and interpersonal growth.

Colby is always striving to grow and become the best version of himself. In his daily life, he likes to find new hobbies that challenge him. Colby is a big proponent of self-care and healing the body and mind through meaningful activities and interactions. He spends most of his free time with family (both biological and chosen). You will also find him out playing tennis, fishing, gardening, and as a spectator at most sporting events.

Before starting his work at A1 Alliance Counseling, he worked in private practice, and in residential treatment for adolescents, as well as sexual addiction and recovery. He has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups through life’s most difficult circumstances.

Education:

Colby graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from Weber State University in Family Studies. He is dedicated to obtaining an education that best meets the diverse needs of those he works with in a therapeutic setting. He has participated and presented in numerous conferences on the local, state, national, and international levels.
