Dave Pitcher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to individuals, couples and adolescents with a focus on challenges related to relationships, spirituality, sexuality, gender and life transitions. Dave has 17 years of experience as a therapist and counseling agency manager working in Indiana and Utah. Dave has been married for over 22 years and has five children. After high school Dave spent time living in India and Nepal. He loves to travel and study the various cultures of the world. Dave practices and encourages meditation and other body-based approaches to healing and peace of mind. Dave enjoys spending time with his family hiking, biking, snowboarding, playing board games and trying new international recipes (he makes a mean curry). In his therapy Dave employs approaches that are emotion focused and that build upon strengths and solutions. His view is holistic valuing positive mental, emotional, relational, spiritual and sexual health. In a time where criticism, shame and self-hatred are epidemic, Dave encourages confidence, compassion and self-love. He develops a partnership with clients and works collaboratively with each to attain their goals.
Education Dave graduated with a Bachelors degree in Social Work from Utah State University in 1999. This was followed with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University’s Graduate School of Social Work in 2001. License, Certifications & Awards Dave is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Utah holding active license number 0531790-3501. He has presented at conferences/trainings, to church groups and to general audiences speaking on the topics of sexual issues, marriage, parenting, compulsive behavior, and mental health management.
