Kim Rippon LCSW, CPTT
Kimberly Rippon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individuals, couples and family therapy. With 30 years of experience in the field, Kimberly is currently serving as a private practitioner specializing in betrayal trauma, victims of sexual assault, physical and emotional abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse and other addictions. She enjoys working with kids, adolescents and adults. She is passionate about helping people heal pain and get “un-stuck” to thrive. She advocates for people to learn how to make peace with their pain and recognize that healing is a process and attainable. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to treating and healing pain.
She has been married for over 25 years and has 3 children. Originally from Southern California, Kimberly chose to raise her family here in Utah due to her love of the outdoors. You will most likely find her in her free time playing tennis, paddle boarding, skiing, or attending college sporting events and her kids team sports. Her favorite is watching college football.

Kimberly graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Family Science. Due to her love of helping people heal trauma due to substance abuse, she completed her Substance Abuse Counseling Degree from the University of Utah’s graduate Program of Social Work. She completed her final graduate program, receiving her Master’s Degree from Brigham Young University’s graduate program of Social Work with an emphasis on PTSD and addiction work.
License and Certifications
Kimberly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Utah with a current license number 342727-3501. She has completed her certification as a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT). Some of her favorite treatment modalities to help people heal are EMDR, EMDR G-TEP, EMDR Sand Tray Therapy, CBT, Solution Focus Therapy , and Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to name a few.

Kimberly continues to attend local and national trainings aimed at continued education pursuits in her specialty areas. She loves to be actively engaged in cutting edge treatment modalities to ensure her clients receive the best healing modalities that will work for them individually. She has spoken on various topics at Universities, high schools and other organizations.
