Blake Halliday is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in marital and family therapy and sexual addictions. Before going into private practice he worked at Axis-One Inc where he provided therapy to individuals, couples, families and facilitated group work. Earlier in his career he worked at Crossroads Academy (a residential treatment center for adolescents with drug and alcohol issues) and Weber Human Services (with in their Probation State Supervision program). While there Blake facilitated Aggression Replacement Training (ART) groups three times a week and provided in-home therapy to the youth and their family.
Blake has worked with a wide range of mental health issues including: depression, anxiety, bipolar, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, shame, grief and same sex attraction. In addition he has experience working with military, two parent, single parent, and step families.
Blake was born and raised in Utah in a small town called Liberty located between "Eden" and "Paradise" (the actual names of the surrounding towns). He grew up in the mountains with his backyard being thousands of acres of playground. He enjoys fishing, golf, skiing, motorbikes, snowmobiles, and many other outdoor activities.
Among some of his most rewarding activities is being with his wife Nancy of 15 years of marriage. Together they have three beautiful children Brenen (13), Abigail (9), and James (5). Blake values the relationship of his wife, children, and extended family and enjoys spending time with them at family reunions and Saturday backyard bar-b-cues.
Blake attended school at Weber State University where he received his Bachelors degree in Child and Family Studies. Following his Bachelors degree Blake developed a workshop on novels and perceptions and implemented it to young college students at Utah State University. He went on to complete his Masters degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Blake is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Blake is Life STAR (sexual trauma and addiction recovery) trained. He conducts weekly group therapy for men with sexual addictions.
He has presented several workshops on parenting classes and couple enrichment courses.
Speaks spanish fluently
After graduation Blake recieved additional training in Omaha, NE for a year working with the underserved Hispanic population at One World Health Clinic. He worked alongside doctors and other medical professionals and gained a better understanding about treatment using both psychotropic medications in conjunction with psychotherapy.
